The zaniest of all spring events, Pond Skimming on March 26th challenges skiers and snowboarders to try to skim across an ice water filled pond at the bottom of Yodeler. Some will make it all the way across, but many end up getting very wet (and cold!). Prizes are awarded for the best skimmer, the best costume, the best kid and of course the most spectacular splash. Registration is free and it starts at 11:00AM at the bottom of Yodeler, the event starts at 1:00. Kids under 18 must have a parent signature, minimum age is 8 years old. All participants get a one day pool pass for the Holiday Valley summer pool complex. Plus music, mini-snowbar with beer specials, barbeque! Maximum of 50 pond skimmers.
