Annual Chamber Golf Outing
Spectacular weather on the beautiful greens of Holiday Valley Resort is how several of us spent our evening last Thursday, September 9, 2021. It was the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Golf Outing and let’s just say, we weren’t disappointed.
For those who haven’t attended our outing, here are the details: we play best ball with a shotgun start at 4:00pm. Two complimentary drink tickets, dinner, and of course a chance to win an array of prizes are all included. Assistant golf pro, Kyle Benish gives us the breakdown of the tournament, then everyone loads up and heads out to the front 9 holes. Afterwards we all meet for cocktail hour, dinner, and a few fun games, pending the announcement of the winning foursomes.
Without further ado, help us congratulate Sean Lowes, Trey Claus, Mark Marino, Bruce Hiene, Pandora Young, Jay Koniak, Ron Kenjockety, and William Krysick. Both teams had the score of 31 tying for 2nd place. Dan Fish, Dave Mendell, Kyle Mendell, and Travis Wallace were our 1st place winners with a score of 30.
We’d like to thank Holiday Valley Resort and Centerplate for treating us to a wonderful day out on the course. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the Winery of Ellicottville, Ellicottville Brewing Co., Silver Fox Steakhouse, Dina’s, and Balloons for contributing to our prize selections; of course, all those who were able to attend too, we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout! The camaraderie and spirit of this year’s golf outing left us all wishing we had spent more days driving a golf ball.
