HoliMont’s Saddle Pond Party Returns
Ski season might long be over and summer is definitely in full swing here, but that doesn’t mean that HoliMont is taking a break from hosting some awesome events for everyone to enjoy. Welcome back to the Annual Saddle Pond Party, which returns July 22nd and 23rd.
Snowsports Director Travis Widger said that this year is shaping up to be better than last year. He also wanted everyone to know that, "camping is welcome and encouraged this season. We have a number of dry campsites to park a camper or RV and numerous sites for tents. Dry camping is offered at $25 a night or $40 for the weekend.” It’s a great way to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the festival activities!
What makes the Saddle Pond Party so festive, you ask? First and foremost, the Bike Park atmosphere is always fun and family friendly. Take advantage of bike rentals, demos, paddle sports, disc golf, swimming and even fishing. It’s an outdoor adventurer’s dream come true. The fresh air, miles of open country… something special happens when you get together with the people you love at HoliMont!
Of course it wouldn’t be a festival without some great vendors. The EVGV Trail will be there to promote the continuation of the trail, CRKT Life will be there selling Cricket Protein, and Kona Bikes will be hosting a demo on Sunday 7/23, just to name a few. (Additional vendors are being confirmed each week!)
And then there’s the music. Saturday’s stage will feature 10 Delaware. Formed in 2009, the band features Chris Pusateri on lead vocals, Dan Fiorella on lead guitar and vocals, Jonathan Buck on bass and vocals, and Chuck Haaland on drums. They’ll perform a variety of guitar driven modern era tunes along with classic and dance songs.
As this is a family friendly event and HoliMont is always “Family First”, there will be a number of activities for every age in the family to enjoy - yard games, badminton, Kan Jam, cornhole, along with all the others already listed above.
Let’s talk about food. Saturday’s options will include Carson’s BBQ, slinging their delicious BBQ chicken and ribs, Wanderer Hut with their Polish menu of kielbasa, pierogis along with some tasty desserts, and plans also include an Ellicottville Brewing Company station set up for micro-brews and beverages.
One super important thing to note: in case you are on the fence… this is a FREE EVENT! There is no cost for admission, though one trip lift tickets up to the pond are $10 (or $25 for an all-day pass.) Lift access during the Saddle Pond Party will run 10:00am-4:30pm each day with camp and fun afterwards.
