Tri-County Arts Readies for #GivingTuesday

Supporting Special Project to Provide Art Activities to Children from Low-Income Areas

OLEAN - The Tri-County Arts Council is once again participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on November 28th, with Cattaraugus Gives, is your chance to make a BIG difference in your community. Cattaraugus Gives is one-stop shopping for charitable giving in Cattaraugus County.

TCAC is reaching out for your support for a special project to provide art activities to children and children from low-income areas. In 2022, TCAC delivered almost 150 art kits for children to the Southern Tier Child Advocacy Center from ages 0-18. They were a huge hit and were used to purchase coloring books, sketchbooks, crayons, colored pencils, watercolors and more.

With your support on Giving Tuesday, we can make it happen! Your donation in any amount will be used to further the creative drive of the youth and further their talents and minds.

“This event has become a prominent part of our annual fundraising which supports our mission of promoting arts and culture in our communities and to raise money to help provide art kits to children who are receiving services through the Southern Tier Child Advocacy Center,” stated Paula Bernstein, executive director of TCAC.

Those interested in joining the Tri-County Arts Council on Giving Tuesday can visit https://www.cattaraugusgives.org/organizations/tri-county-arts-council or check out TCAC’s social media.

The Tri-County Arts Council plays a pivotal role in supporting the arts in the Southern Tier Region, and your support shows that you, too, recognize the importance of the arts in our communities. TCAC's current gallery show is the fourth annual “A Little Something” Small Works Members Show now through January 14th in the Peg Bothner Gallery. The show features 60 artists and over 150 works of art in a wide array of styles and media. All perfectly sized for gift giving or to add to your own collection.
