Hamburge-Based Attea & Attea Merges with Peters & Moriarty of Ellicottville

A recent merger has been made between a local Ellicottville law firm, Peters & Moriarty P.C., with the long-standing Hamburg-based firm, Attea & Attea P.C. The joining of these practices brings on an array of legal services to be offered, along with the additional resources needed, to help each and every client in the area. The merger will operate under the name Attea & Attea and also welcomes Ellicottville attorney, Kathleen Moriarty to the firm.

The Hamburg based law office was formed in 1972, with founding partner, Richard Attea, who is still practicing today. His son, Brian Attea, joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 2000 when they officially became Attea & Attea P.C. They have spent decades serving their clients and building a practice that allows for the upmost care and professionalism. With a team of seven attorneys and ten legal support staff and assistants, they have the means to dedicate themselves to all of their clients’ needs.

The firm offers broadened legal services, including but not limited to; personal injury, estate planning and settlement, transactional work involving residential and commercial real estate, commercial development, business consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial litigation. Within these offerings, you are treated to a knowledge staff with an array of legal expertise. This firm truly values what they have to provide and how they are able to commit those standards into each case.

The Attea & Attea law firm has often been on the scene within Ellicottville, NY over the past decades, with developments and numerous legal proceedings under their belt. It was this close involvement with the community that helped build a professional relationship between Brian Attea (Attea & Attea P.C.) and Kathleen Moriarty (Peters & Moriarty). Kathleen went on to describe that, “Brian was a huge mentor for me. He was the person I called if I had questions, so it was a really natural fit”. Now with over twelve years of legal experience, Kathleen Moriarty is eager to continue to build her relationship and expertise with Attea & Attea P.C.

Kathleen Moriarty goes on, “I definitely look forward to a new professional challenge”. The acquisition brings on a larger team to build relationships and grow connections. With an expanded territory of clients and counties, Kathleen also shares her excitement to bring on more estate work and further her skills within these opportunities.

The merger fell into place at the perfect time and both parties acknowledged that it just felt right to bring them together. The two firms shared a common ground of providing the highest level of care to clients and a philosophy of respect and dedication. Brian Attea described how the process came to be in an ideal way. “The timing was perfect because we were in the process of beginning to look for an attorney who had experience in estate work and also in real estate and this was around the same time Kathleen was contemplating what her next steps were going to be, so we began talking about merging our practices.”

Now working as a newfound team, Attea & Attea P.C. continues to provide their highest level of expertise to potential clients and do so with honesty and integrity. As quoted by founder, Richard Attea, "just make sure to take very good care of every person who comes through the door." It’s the very philosophy that carries on within the firm and is the main focus of their everyday outlook. At Attea & Attea, your voice is heard and taken into every step of consideration as they work to bring you to the most successful outcome possible.
