Everyone has a staple macaroni and cheese that they love. But it’s universally known that you must have a decadent cheese sauce, a perfectly cooked noodle, and more gooey melted cheese or breadcrumbs (or a lot of both) on top for it to be worth its weight. Whatever your preference, it’s hands down one of the top comfort foods for many, yet not a meal you can just whip up for a quick and easy workday lunch. But, you don’t have to be disappointed any longer because Bowl-ify is now open at 30 Park Square in Franklinville, NY!
Bowl-ify is a quick-serve gourmet mac and cheese eatery. That’s right, a restaurant dedicated to the art of mac and cheese, and they’ve been recognized for their efforts. They began with a location in Buffalo, and as they grew, the more people began to notice them. They even got a spot on Daytime Buffalo, where their team prepared some of their famous combos on-air.
As they became more popular, the team made the decision to open a second location. They started looking outside of the city for a good place to expand. The team decided to venture into the Southern Tier, choosing Franklinville. With Great Lakes Cheese Factory currently being built, they believe there will be an increase and steady flow of workers and their families, and they, along with other local businesses, want to breathe some new life into Franklinville’s business scene.
The Bowl-ify team pride themselves on a kid-friendly atmosphere, offering their customers the freedom of customization with the ability to create their own delectable mac and cheese masterpiece. Or you could just choose from one of their pre-arranged combos. They have some options you wouldn’t even think of but are super delicious! Let’s dig in…
Of course they have the O.G. (original), which is their homemade house cheese sauce with shredded cheese and then even more shredded cheese. (Hey, that’s how it’s listed on the menu!) The Lobster Mac and Cheese is famous for real lobster with garlic cheese sauce, shredded cheese and shaved parm - it’s an extravaganza in a bowl! They also have the “Let’s Go Buffalo” (#billsfanforlife) which is their house cheese, chicken, blue cheese crumbles, Frank’s Hot Sauce and a drizzle of your choice of ranch or blue cheese. And these are just a few of their ready-to-roll options. Think about the possibilities of making your own! You even have the option of gluten free noodles, and the kids can opt for a half portion of regular, unbaked mac & cheese.
Keep an eye on their website, bowlify.menu and their Facebook page, as they oftentimes dish out some wild specials like the Meatball Parm Mac and the Teriyaki Stir Fry Mac. You can even do a mac and cheese flight, where you pick 3 different kinds from their flight special list so you can enjoy a small serving of each.
Now, although most of the menu is dedicated to their namesake, they do offer a couple of other items. (Don’t worry, cheese is always involved.) They have five options of grilled cheese sandwiches based on their mac creations - Butter Garlic Lobster, The O.G., Let’s Go Buffalo, Chicken Bacon Ranch and BBQ Chicken Ranch. There’s three options of flatbread which are quite unique: The Chicken Finger Flatbread with a blue cheese base, your choice of sauce for the chicken, shredded cheese and blue cheese crumbles is calling our names. Then there’s the Pizza Flatbread with either a cheddar or garlic base, tons of mozzarella, sweet pizza sauce, pepperoni, more mozz and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Last but not least is the All-American Burger Flatbread, a cheddar base covered in ground sirloin, bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles and a drizzle of Thousand Island dressing… that’s a burger at another level! For just $1 extra, you can top your flatbread or your grilled cheese with a scoop of mac and cheese. Go big or go home, right?
With everything on their menu clocking in at under $15 before tax, it’s a wildly affordable option with huge portions that make an excellent cheat meal, decadent lunch or filling dinner. Bowl-ify is open 11:00am-7:00pm Monday through Saturday, and 11:00am-3:00pm on Sundays. You can dine in or takeout, and you can order online through their website or call 716-676-4070.
