Class of 2024 Valedictorian & Salutatorian Announced


As another successful class of Ellicottville Central School prepares to turn their tassels, the Class of 2024 proudly announces this year’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Ellicottville will formally congratulate all graduating seniors during a special ceremony on Friday, June 28th. Watch for a special feature dedicated to this year’s class to appear in next week’s issue of ellicottvilleNOW.

VALEDICTORIAN: BROOKE BUTLER

Brooke Butler is the daughter of Linda and Scott Butler. Brooke is graduating as the Valedictorian of her class with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and a weighted average of 113.89. She has been on high honor roll throughout her high school career. Brooke has served as the President of the class for five years and Treasurer of the ECS Caring Closet for one year. In addition, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook Club, Student Council, and Peer Tutoring. Brooke is also a former member of Jazz Band, Varsity Golf, and Varsity Track & Field. She is an avid volunteer for the ECS Sports Boosters and many other organizations in the community.

Brooke was the captain of the varsity soccer team for two years. She is also an All Western NY Scholar Athlete, CCAA East League MVP, three time First Team All-Star, and a two time Big 30 All-Star. Her sophomore year she was Buffalo News’ Top 10 players to watch and a Class D 3rd Team All-State.

Outside of Ellicottville, Brooke has been a member of the WNY Flash since the 6th grade, a club soccer team located in East Aurora. Competing all year round and traveling most weekends, her team earned the title of ECNL-RL U17 Ohio Valley Conference Champs. Brooke has also been a part of the NY/PA Corporate Cup Gold Team for 4 years and will captain the team this July.

Brooke has held many jobs; this winter she was a Freestyle Coach at Holiday Valley and is currently working at the Tee Bar.

Brooke will be attending Clarkson University as an Honors Student where she will major in Mathematics/Engineering and continue her soccer career as a Golden Knight.

SALUTATORIAN: KEELIN FINN

Keelin Finn is the daughter of Matt and Eileen Finn. She is graduating as the Salutatorian of her class with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. She has attained high honor roll throughout her high school career and has attained a weighted average of 113.82. She was selected to the New Visions: Health Professions Program at the Olean BOCES Center. Keelin has held many leadership roles throughout her high school career; she currently is the President of National Honor Society, and was named as a Captain for the varsity soccer, basketball, and softball teams.

She was the 2023 recipient of the Elmira Key Award Scholarship, Wilkes University Scholarship, and Clarkson University Scholarship, as well as the New York Seal of Biliteracy. She has attended All County Band for the trumpet. She enjoys participating in ECS Caring Closet, Jazz Band, Yearbook Committee, Varsity Club, Spirit Squad, and National Honor Society and is also an active member of her community.

Keelin has worked in the Gin Mill for 4.5 years and has also been employed at the Nightmare Hayrides and the Ellicottville Rodeo.

Keelin will be attending Gannon University as a Pre-Medicine major.
