24-hour fundraiser brings in over $300,000 for local non-profits
OLEAN - The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation proudly announces the successful conclusion of another Cattaraugus Gives fundraiser. This year’s 24-hour online giving event rallied 1,381 donors, raising $315,474 for local nonprofits.
With over $21,200 in prizes available, as well as gift cards to local businesses and sports memorabilia from the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, organizations were thrust into friendly competition beginning at midnight on December 3rd. Of the 96 nonprofit organizations that participated in Cattaraugus Gives, 91 received donations, marking the most in the history of the fundraiser.
“This year’s campaign highlighted the remarkable generosity of donors,” said CRCF Executive Director Kirk Windus. “The community’s support ensures a brighter future for causes spanning youth development, arts, animal welfare and beyond. The generosity of our donors, combined with the dedication of the nonprofits, made this year’s event truly remarkable, and it’s proof of what we can achieve when we work together.”
