Happy Birthday Virgos!
After the woo-hoo party energy of Leo season, Virgo is on clean-up duty. The back to work energy of Virgo now is upon us as we prepare for the cooling down time of the year. Virgo is all about work and the feeling of “back to work” (or school).
With 6 celestial bodies in retrograde motion for September during this Virgo season, it’s a wonderful time for “getting clean.” For some it might mean a reorganization of your living quarters or purging and donating items. It might mean starting a new health routine or detoxing your body or becoming sober. One can function so much more efficiently when running on all cylinders! It is a perfect time to learn about food, grains, herbs and the many benefits of them. Maybe take a class on herbal medicine or nutrition.
Virgo is all about fine details. Planning, schedules, spreadsheets, health, foods, and being of service. Service providers, healthcare workers, cleaning services, and car rental agencies are career areas ruled by Virgo. Virgo’s ruling planet is Mercury which is retrograde as we enter the month of September, so those emails might come back undeliverable or sent to the wrong person, so be careful. Check your spam folder if you’re waiting for something important.
The new moon is on September 15th, when (hooray!) Mercury will be direct. This is excellent for beginning the things you were considering or planning during the first half of the month. The full moon is on the 29th - going out with a whimsical flare - it’s excellent for getting creative, dreamy, and meditative. Avoid drugs you could be very tempted to partake in at that time. I feel there could be a clog in the healthcare flow; I wouldn’t be surprised if another wave of something starts to surface.
Psychically speaking, I’d like to offer up how to prepare for the next six months. Get serious about what you consume. You are what you eat, and you become what you think and say. Eat as clean as possible. Grow your own foods when possible, eat locally, utilize the farmer’s markets. Plan for the cold. I’m expecting problems with the grid; if your heat needs electricity I suggest getting a woodburning stove. Stock up on natural foods including teas instead of mass-produced big box supplements. Know your own allergens. Did you know that organic, local honey is a natural antiseptic and antibiotic?
Here is a recipe that I call “An ounce of prevention.” Of course, check with your own doctor before starting anything new, because I am not a medical doctor or nutritionist.
• 1-2 tablespoons local, organic honey (that is in glass - NOT PLASTIC and not the kind you get at WM)
• 1 tablespoon colloidal silver
• 1 tablespoon ormus
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• 1 dash (1/8 tsp) black pepper
• Half of the juice from an organic lemon (include some of the pulp if you don’t mind it
• Add 8-16 ounces of living spring water (not tap)
• Blend it however you can - a bullet mixer, blender, etc.
• Have it once a day! I vote for the morning.
Don’t leave out having plenty of real fruits and veggies - go for real food grown under actual sunlight and keep your body flowing and cleansed with plenty of fresh water. Top it off with a positive attitude, love yourself, take care of your mental health with healthy connections and support, spiritual well-being and healthy relationships, and you’ll sail through cold, flu and whatever variation of name brand illnesses surface!
I am offering my astrology certification course beginning September 10th. All sessions are recorded so if you join late you can watch the lessons at your leisure. If you want to know how to read astrology, understand yourself deeper and help others, too, I hope you’ll join me!
