Summer Learning Camp Success

Ellicottville Memorial Library Hosted the Bob McCarthy’s Sponsored Summer Learning Program

The Bob McCarthy Foundation once again generously sponsored a Summer Learning Camp for ECS students.  Over the past four weeks, fifteen of our community’s bright young learners attended sessions with Mrs. Leah Farnum at the Ellicottville Memorial Library.  While in session students worked diligently to maintain their skills learned during the school year pertaining to reading, math and technology.

Each week students worked collaboratively to solve a science and engineering task, putting their problem-solving skills to the test.  This was a wonderful opportunity for students to keep their reading and math muscles working over the summer months.  This empowered group of kiddos are now ready to face the challenges of a new school year in a few short weeks.

Many thanks to the Bob McCarthy Foundation for funding this opportunity and continuing to support our community by putting our youth first!
