New Service Offers Home-Staging, Organization and Decluttering

The thing most evident when one speaks with Suzie Ditcher, besides her uplifting enthusiasm for all things “life,” is her huge, overflowing heart. She doesn’t just speak love, she lives it. That’s important for the kind of lifework she has chosen throughout her time on earth. She may be pint-sized, but she is a presence, sending loving messages of caring, concern and competence.

Suzie wears many hats, but this piece focuses on her newest, which incorporates several of the others. She is a Photographer, Life Coach and an Herbalist and has recently launched her newest endeavor which includes empathetic and non-judgmental decluttering and organizing. She (and husband John, when available) are introducing a Home Staging service – SuzieDitcher Home – where they can help you restyle rooms, entryways, garages, porches, etc., and offer minor carpentry services (and small painting projects). Suzie is currently completing the final stages of her certification as a Home Staging Professional, but she has been working with clients since 2022 and is already developing a repeat and new client base for 2023.

In a conversation with Suzie, she expressed gratitude for the 56 years of experience, successes, and failures she has amassed. “My dad (Evan Evans) was an entrepreneur, and I learned all the ins and outs of having your own business from him. Mom (Joyce) always had projects going on in our home; they both had plenty of hobbies and taught me just to “do something.” Says Suzie, “I am so fueled by the experiences of my past. I have been fortunate to have been given many life skills and I’ve learned that one cannot be afraid to try. You simply do what you can and move on.”

Suzie said she does a lot of decluttering and organizing for clients. Living out in the rural areas, it is not so easy to dispose of good/useable items without resorting to the trashbin. Suzie has a rolodex of phone numbers to call - from charities to churches - so nothing useable is wasted. Your coat might go to a woman who desperately needs one. Something funky, vintage, or unique, yet not particularly valuable, might go to a local Little Theater for their plays. Or she may encourage you to start an eBay account to turn some of your treasures into cash.

She breaks what she does into four categories: Life Coaching, Decluttering, Organizing, Staging/Styling. All of them are guided by the concepts of Life Coaching which, simply put, is a relationship between a life coach and client where the coach uses specific skills to help the client achieve agreed upon results. Life coaching also involves empathy and sensitivity. When one speaks of decluttering, empathy must rank number one in skills, paired with a non-judgmental approach.

SuzieDitcher Home presents a clear picture of her goals for you, her client. “A healthy, happy home is our passion! Our approach is fresh, holistic, and creative. Making your home stress-free, beautiful, OR sellable. Our homes should be our sanctuaries and at SuzieDitcher Home, we declutter, organize, re-arrange, and enhance your home until it reflects your most beautiful, calm space so that you can live your BEST version of your life!”

First consult is complementary as you both discover how to make your home healthy, happy and organized. From there, they come up with a plan regarding time and money. It’s an exciting process!
