OnoFest is Back for 2023!

What can $10 buy you these days? The cost of everything is so high that finding something to do for $10 or less is almost impossible. (I’m looking at you movie theaters, thirty bucks for popcorn? Really?!) But what if I told you that $10 would get a carload of people into the Onoville Marina for a day (and evening) of summer fun? You should believe me, because it’s true; you can bring a whole carload to OnoFest 2023 for just $10!
What exactly do I mean by fun? Well, Onoville Marina Park in itself is a beautiful location. Surrounded by rolling hills, covered in green trees, right on the sparkling water. Just having a picnic at the park is a perfect way to spend a summer day - but now toss in their great entertainment plans and it’s a real party!
OnoFest promises an array of food and craft vendors and live music from 2:00-9:30pm on July 22nd. Prior food vendors at the events have had such tasty treats as Italian sausage, fresh squeezed lemonade, french fries and so much more… I can’t wait to see what this years offerings will be! For arts and craft vendors, you’ll find a mix of jewelry, traditional crafts, hats, hair accessories, and more. If you need a break from all of the shopping and exploring, you could always take a moment to sit and watch the boats in the harbor.
Now, the live music is where OnoFest really shines. They are boasting a jam packed line-up of widely-known local favorites. The tentative schedule is as follows:
Nightshift • 2:30-4:30pm: This 4-piece band based out of Frewsburg, NY is known to get crowds jumping with their performance of all your favorite Classic Rock hits. (They were a hit at last year’s Festival and everyone is excited to see them again.
The Hootz • 5:00-7:00pm: The Hootz is an energetic band from Nashville, TN that has toured the United States, getting festivals going by combining the sounds of pop, rock, rap, punk and country. It’s an addictive sound that’s created by the four members, each of whom specializes in their specific music genre. They’ve even recently accompanied huge National acts like Carrie Underwood, Eric Paslay, Justin Moore, and Justin Lynch. They are an impressive group that you need to make sure you hear in person. Everyone is thrilled to have them return!
The Porcelain Bus Drivers • 7:30-9:30pm: The last (but definitely not the least) band that will be taking the stage under the tent at OnoFest is very well known in the area for being a super energetic group. They perform a rock music variety that is sure to take you on a musical journey to end out the evening.
Now, the particulars. OnoFest takes place at the Onoville Marina Park, located at 704 W. Perimeter Road in Steamburg, NY. This is a family-friendly festival, so there will be children present. The event is rain or shine, so maybe pack an umbrella or two just in case. There are bench seats and picnic tables, but they tend to fill up fast, so they recommend you bring some blankets and chairs for comfort. Bug spray and sunscreen are also important items to remember so you can enjoy the day without sunburn or insect induced hysteria. (Just kidding about the hysteria, maybe.) Unfortunately there will be no fireworks display this year. (bummer!)
Still, what a perfect way to spend a summer day! OnoFest 2023 is going to be a great time on July 22nd. Remember, it’s just $10 a whole carload, so pack your family and friends in and come on out. For more information as it becomes available, visit onoville.com.
