Resort Spotlight: HoliMont
Known as America’s largest private ski club, HoliMont is your premier destination for all season fun! HoliMont Snowsports Director Travis Widger is excited for the upcoming winter season and sharing all that HoliMont has to offer with returning members and new folks, too.
Widger is most looking forward to “our winter community returning for great snow and no lift lines!” Except for a few black-out dates, HoliMont is happy to welcome the public during the week. “We are open to the public Monday through Friday for skiing and riding with the best conditions in the region and a low-key family vibe.”
NEW AND NOTEWORTHY
The crew at HoliMont has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming snowy season, and they’re ready to create even more snow than in years past! “We have replaced 4,000 feet of snowmaking line with upgraded larger pipe to ensure we can put more snow on the hill in a shorter amount of time,” Widger explained. “We’ll have many offerings for weekday groups and skiing and riding.”
What’s happening right now at HoliMont? Plenty, according to Widger. “We are currently transferring water to our storage ponds at the top of the hill and prepping our snowmaking system so we can fire it up and cover the slopes with wonderful snow as soon as temperatures allow for productive snowmaking.”

HOLIMONT SNOWSPORTS PROGRAM
The Snowsports program offers opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels to join a team. Whether you're a beginner or an elite skier, everyone is invited to be part of the team and rediscover the joys of winter. As young skiers develop, they may find an interest in Competitive Snowsports; they can progress from HoliKids to JR HoliHawks, then gain experience in IntraClub Racing before moving on to a travel team.
The Competitive Programs are home to coaches and former athletes who are certified by both the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSS) and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF).
HoliMont's FLITE Team offers a freestyle skiing program where skiers can refine their skills and learn to conquer jumps, bumps, moguls and more. The FLITE Team is led by USSS and PSIA certified instructors, providing a truly world-class learning opportunity. Every student has the chance to grow as an integral member of a team and learn the art of competing. Not only will you expand your knowledge and abilities, but you'll also have a season filled with winter fun!
GET SOCIAL
According to Widger, those who don’t ski or snowboard tend to enjoy HoliMont’s social events and après scene the most! “We will have a number of weekday events again this season and are looking to bring back the Breath and Ice workshop with Cold Therapy and Breathing exercises,” he said.
At HoliMont, the social scene includes year-round member events and weekend après parties to a wide range of fun-filled activities for kids, so there is something for everyone, both on and off the slopes. And the excitement doesn't end when winter fades away. HoliMont’s summer activities - mountain biking at their premier bike park, hiking, swimming, paddle sports, camping, and more - transform HoliMont into the perfect family oasis.
MAKE YOUR PLANS
The recent nice weather means there’s still time to enjoy HoliMont’s bike park! Widger said, “Our bike trails are still open for ride at your own risk pedal access, and we are still offering weekday experience passes.” For those planning ahead for this winter, he said, “The 10-pack of weekday tickets with additional lesson and guest benefits make for the perfect winter skiing or riding experience.”
