ELLICOTTVILLE - The Ellicottville Historical Society will host their final meeting of the season at the Ellicottville Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 2nd beginning at 7:00pm. The speakers will be The Spirit Hunters Paranormal group who did ghost investigations in Ellicottville. We hope to see you there and as always, the meeting is open to the public and free of charge.

Ellicottville Ghost Walks Return: With the Halloween season upon us, the Ellicottville Historical Society is bringing back the ghost walks around Ellicottville. This year we will be offering our walks on four Friday nights: September 27th, October 4th, October 18th, and October 25th. The walks will start at the Ellicottville Gazebo. Please meet at the gazebo at 7:00pm; our walk will begin at 7:30pm.

On this weekly ghost walk, you will hear stories of people and things that have happened in and around Ellicottville. We will also be going into two buildings where paranormal investigations took place. We will walk to the Jefferson Street Cemetery and visit a few graves. This is a walk-at-your-own-risk, and you may want to bring a flashlight or use your phone when walking through the cemetery. The cost is $15 per person, cash or check.

If you would like to learn more or sign up your party ahead of time, please contact Ellen Frank, Ellicottville Town Historian at 716-699-2276 or 716-474-8528. Follow the Ellicottville Historical Society Facebook page for more information.
