Taste of Ellicottville Another Huge Success

The weather was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and our village was full of smiles and laughter. This past weekend we celebrated our annual Taste of Ellicottville which included 19 local restaurants. There was live music all weekend and lots of other events happening all around the Ellicottville area.

We heard lots of comments like, “Our entire family loves this event! We always find a way to travel down here for it!” Unlike many other tasting events, most of the businesses that participate in the Taste of Ellicottville are located within a 4-block radius, making Ellicottville the culinary hub of WNY … or at least that’s what our foodies are saying. And they were right! Everyone really stepped up to the plate!

The awards for the 2021 Taste of Ellicottville include: The Best of Ellicottville, The Healthy Choice, and The Sweetest Sweet. Dave Elder, founder of The Party Squad and Drew Cerza, Buffalo’s Wing King were the judges for the Best of Ellicottville award. Dona McFadden, owner of The Plant People and Caitlin Croft, Keller Williams Realty were the judges for the Healthy Choice award. Brenda Perks, Publisher of EllicottvilleNOW and Marshall Hall, Cattaraugus County Asst. District Attorney were the judges for the Sweetest Sweet award. The judges based their decisions on overall presentation, originality, creativity, and taste. They said it was difficult to choose the winners for this year’s awards because all the participating restaurants did an outstanding job, however, we do have an official announcement to make.

Drum roll please….

The Best of Ellicottville was awarded to Dina DiPasquale, owner of Dina’s. The Healthy Choice was awarded to Michael Nickolson, owner of The Silver Fox Steakhouse. The Sweetest Sweet was awarded to Annie Coe, owner of Cupcaked.

We’d like to thank everyone involved for all their hard work, dedication, and making the 2021 Taste of Ellicottville one for the books.
