“Cattaraugus Gives” - A Day of Giving
OLEAN - Ninety-two nonprofits from across the Cattaraugus County region are set to raise funds during Cattaraugus Gives on Tuesday, November 28th. Presented by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation, Cattaraugus Gives is a 24-hour online fundraising event that brings together area nonprofits of any service area, size or mission in friendly competition to celebrate the community’s spirit of giving.
In 2022, nonprofits participating in Cattaraugus Gives together raised $275,447 for their respective causes. With that total, Cattaraugus Gives has now helped nonprofits raise over $1 million to improve the lives of those living in our community.
Giving will begin on the cattaraugusgives.org website at 12:00am on Tuesday, Nov. 28th and will continue for the next 24 hours. Donors can help the 92 participating organizations win prizes from a pool of over $20,000 in prizes sponsored by CRCF and a number of area businesses. New this year, donors will have the chance to win themselves, as there will be six gift card drawings throughout the day for donors that give $100 or more during designated time periods. The full prize listing is available at cattaraugusgives.org. Additionally, a number of participating nonprofits will have matches and challenges available, which will increase the impact of donors’ gifts.
“The public is invited to make their gifts and watch the leaderboard throughout the day at cattaraugusgives.org," said CRCF Executive Director Kirk Windus. “The energy that Cattaraugus Gives emulates every year is palpable for everyone involved - for the Foundation, the participating nonprofits, for the donors, and for the community that benefits from the funds raised. The generosity of our community never disappoints, and we are excited to see the community rally to make a difference for our nonprofits and our community again this year.”
