The Resort Continues to Improve the Guest Experience
Unpack your ski/snowboard gear and get ready to slide into a winter of fun! After a summer of outdoor adventures and significant upgrades to the resort, Holiday Valley is excited to start winter off in style. From the brand-new Mardi Gras 6, a high-speed chairlift that'll make the ride up one of the resort’s signature runs even more enjoyable, to the start of a room renovation project at The Inn at Holiday Valley, which upon its completion will make the ski-in/ski-out experience even more convenient, to upgraded snowmaking capabilities and much more. This season is going to be one you won’t want to miss.
UP THE MOUNTAIN WE GO! First up, let's talk about the pièce de résistance - the brand-new, state-of-the-art High-Speed 6-Pack Chairlift from Doppelmayr, USA. Imagine zipping up the mountain with room for two more friends than before. This lift, a marvel of modern engineering, will replace the Mardi Gras High Speed Quad and is set to redefine "peak" experiences. The project was primarily done in-house by the incredible Holiday Valley Mountain Operations Team and was two years in the making. Last summer the team completed all of the concrete work for the lift tower foundations, which allowed them to get a fantastic jump-start on deconstructing the Mardi Gras High Speed Quad last April and then begin the impressive task of building a new lift unlike any this region has ever seen.
THE INN AT HOLIDAY VALLEY: YOUR SKI IN/SKI OUT SANCTUARY! Have you ever experienced The Inn at Holiday Valley? Well, it's in the process of getting a room transformation! Over the next three years, all 102 rooms will be updated and improved upon. Oh, and did we mention the new convenience store in the lobby? Late-night cravings for hot cocoa and snacks will be a thing of the past!
A BETTER ON-HILL EXPERIENCE. Say hello to the new PistenBully 600 snow groomer. This isn't just any groomer; it's lighter, more efficient and will be an excellent addition to the grooming fleet. Given that the slopes are open from 9:00am-9:00pm Monday through Wednesday, 9:00am-10:00pm Thursday and Friday, and 8:30am-10:00pm on the weekends, the Grooming Team has a formidable task of getting the slopes groomed every night and this new PistenBully will help them accomplish that.
LET IT SNOW! Making snow has long been an important component of the Holiday Valley experience and so it comes as no surprise that the resort continues to invest in its snowmaking technology. More automation, new pipelines and a lot of hard work and dedication by the Holiday Valley Snowmaking Team means that as soon as the weather is cold enough, the slopes will soon be blanketed in snow.
DINE WITH A VIEW, SIP WITH A SMILE. And for those who love to après-ski, John Harvard’s at the Tamarack Club is getting a facelift. With the best dining views in Ellicottville, this renovation will make the overall dining experience one that you won’t soon forget.
SIT BACK AND RELAX! The Ellicottville Oasis Spa is also located in the Tamarack Club - just down the hallway from the restaurant - and is the perfect place to unwind and treat yourself.
