Empire Brewing & Premier Gourmet Coffee Team Up To Bring You One Fresh Cold Brew

ELLICOTTVILLE, NY - Local Grind Coffee Scotch Ale is BACK for the season with a reimagined coffee profile, refined flavors and their new partner, Premier Gourmet Coffee out of Buffalo, NY. This cold brew comes in at 6.5% ABV with semi sweet caramel malt, distinctive and pronounced bold coffee notes, fresh-roasted coffee bean aroma and toasty chocolate flavors. Celebrate the relaxing mellow moments of a day in the life of the Empire State.

“We have been working with the fine folks at Premier Gourmet for quite a few years,” said Dan Minner, head brewer at Empire Brewing Company. “Head Roaster Sjaan and her team work hard to make sure we have the finest quality coffee possible. On our latest release, Empire Local Grind, we decided to use Brazilian Santos Beans, which are freshly roasted and ground within hours of the cold infusion into this brew. The Brazilian Santos brings hints of dark fruits and chocolate that complement the rich toffee and caramel sweetness of our scotch ale.”

The partnership feelings are mutual as Sjaan (Roastmaster, Premier Gourmet Coffee) explains, “Premier Gourmet has enjoyed working with Empire Brewing and we are excited for the release of the Empire Local Grind. The coffee selected for this brew was picked out of the many beans we roast. We make sure to roast our beans to perfection to bring out their best flavor. We are confident you will enjoy this brew.”

Empire Local Grind is now available in 16 ounce 4-pack cans at Premier Gourmet and across the Empire distribution network while supplies last. You can also find this cold brew on tap at the brew pubs of Empire’s sister brewery, Ellicottville Brewing in Ellicottville (Ellicottville Brew Pub and Tap + Bottle & Taqueria) and Fredonia (EBC West). This brew sounds like the perfect afternoon or evening treat that will leave you with lots of energy.
