A fun, festive holiday season awaits around every bend!

The Holiday Season in the Enchanted Mountains of Cattaraugus County is a magical time of year! Gather up the crew and make your way through festive villages and scenic countrysides. We’ve gathered some nearby, fun events and must-experience destinations for you and yours to enjoy in addition to the holiday happenings around Ellicottville!

OLEAN: The City of Olean has several traditions and activities visitors are invited to participate in. Take a trip back in time with a Victorian Christmas at the Fannie Bartlett House in Olean on November 26th from 6:00-9:00pm. Watch Olean’s Santa Claus Lane Parade at 7:00pm, followed by Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the town’s decorations! Then tour the beautifully restored mansion built in 1851. The house is adorned with beautiful Christmas decorations. You can also visit Santa’s Cottage in Lincoln Park on December 1st and 8th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

SALAMANCA: The City of Salamanca is hosting their Silver Bells Santa Parade on Friday, December 3rd at 6:30pm. There will be lights, cocoa, cookies and of course, Santa, to celebrate the holiday. The theme of the parade is a reminder of Ray Evans, lyricist of “Silver Bells,” who was born in Salamanca!

RANDOLPH: In the heart of Amish country, you will find Randolph’s Country Christmas on December 4th from 10:00am-8:00pm. This annual event is full of tradition and Christmas surprises. Stop into Randolph to enjoy the Festival of Trees, the “Light up the Night” Christmas parade, Memory Tree Lighting, and be sure to visit with Santa Claus.

GOWANDA: Take a walk back in time Saturday, December 4th from noon-9:00pm. Stroll downtown Gowanda, shop local, and celebrate an old fashioned Christmas at the 10th Annual Christmas in Gowanda event. Watch “An American Tale” at the Hollywood Theater, enjoy crafts and the Santa Express Train Ride. There will be horse wagon rides, reindeer, a parade, Santa, and even a fireworks show!
