Ellicottville Library Hosts Halloween Mask Making

Ellicottville Library Hosts Halloween Mask Making

ELLICOTTVILLE - Last week, thanks to a generous donation from the Elisa B. Hughey Fund for the Arts, several kids were able to attend a class at the Ellicottville Memorial Library to create their own Halloween mask.  The first afternoon was spent coming up with a design and then covering their mask forms with plaster cloth.   The forms for the masks were gallon water jugs that had been cut in half.  The second class was spent painting and decorating the masks.

These masks are not only amusing Halloween masks, but they would be fun wall decorations as well.  The Library hopes to have more art classes in the near future.  Contact the library at 716-699-2842 if you would like to be added to their email list to receive future notices about upcoming events, or check out the library’s website at ellicottvillelibrary.org.
