JAMESTOWN - Audubon Community Nature Center has dozens of volunteer spots to fill for Audubon Lights 2025, the spectacular lights display that includes live entertainment and snacks around an outdoor fire. Every Friday and Saturday night from March 21st through April 5th, hundreds of visitors will experience the woods, trails and surroundings ablaze with thousands of lights.
“Audubon has a great crew of dedicated volunteers,” says Volunteer Coordinator Sharon Tefft, “but with so many guests, Audubon Lights requires all the help we can get!”
Audubon Lights volunteers are needed to add lights to luminaries on the trail, prepare food, sell concessions, tickets and snacks, tend the fire, and aid with clean-up. If you can help, contact Tefft at stefft@auduboncnc.org or call 716-569-2345. For general information about Audubon Lights, go to AudubonCNC.org/events.
Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, NY and Warren, PA. You can visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, enjoy the natural play space, and hike over five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.
The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the Hellbender exhibit, winners of the 2023 Nature Photography Contest, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays 10:00am-4:30pm and Sundays 1:00-4:30pm. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
