March Is Going to Be Full of Adventure at the Audubon Community Nature Reserve

Sunday, March 2, 2025, 12:30–1 p.m., First Sunday Storytime: For children ages 2–8 with an adult. After your reading adventure, explore the indoor and outdoor Nature Play Areas, live animals and exhibits. Space limited to 15; walk-ins accepted if room. Friday, March 7, 2025, 11:00am.–noon, First Friday: “Diversified Farming at Carlberg Farm.” 2008 Cornell graduate Ginny Carlberg presents how she and her husband have adapted their dairy, sheep and produce farm operations to be both efficient and environmentally friendly, and how they have found their niche in the local community and food system. Bring a brown bag lunch for conversation after. $8, $6 for Nature Center members and ages 9–15. Reservations appreciated by calling (716) 569-2345 or through AudubonCNC.org/events. Saturday, March 8, 2025, 10–11:30 a.m., Little Explorers: “Hawks, Falcons, and Eagles.” 3–8 year-olds and their favorite grown-ups enjoy a nature lesson, walk, and craft, making for a fun-filled morning of learning. $12 adults; $9 Nature Center members and children ages 3–8. Fridays and Saturdays, March 21 and 22 (8:00-10:00pm), 28 and 29 (8:15-10:00pm), and April 4 and 5, 8:30-10:00pm), Audubon Lights: Forest and ponds glow with lasers and spotlights along a luminary-lit trail to a fire, drinks, popcorn, other foods for sale, and live entertainment. $12, $9 for Nature Center members and ages 3–15, free 2 and under.
