Shopping, Dining, Bar Hopping and Blues… Are You Ready?

Winter Blues Weekend is a great excuse to get out of Dodge and let loose in a town where the #1 goal is always the same: HAVE FUN! Get that text thread going, tally up a last-minute head count, and book your weekend with friends in Ellicottville January 20-22. (Yep, it’s THIS weekend!)

It’s a shop and dine during the day and boogie the night away kind of vibe. Or ski the daytime hours and bar hop into the late night hours. Or kick up your feet at the local spa then kick on your dancing shoes. No matter what combination you choose, you can expect a full line-up of good times, live music and lots of libations. It’s the perfect adventure leading up to the Bills/Cincinnati game on Sunday. Let’s break it down:

GET DRESSED: Gado Gado has a stylish party dress with your name on it. For a more casual look, GI Threads can dial you in with trendy denim top to bottom. Finish off your look with any combination of accessories at Daff Dry Goods. For the men, Blue Collar Workwear is stocked with Carhart. And just a few doors down, She Shed He Shed offers an irresistible line of men’s cologne. (Grab a quality cigar while you’re there, guys!)

FUEL UP: What are you hungry for? Ellicottville has every flavor under the sun! Dina’s is known for their hearty breakfasts with farm-to-table ingredients. Monroe St. Brick & Brew can whip up a fresh, brick oven-fired pizza. And Steelbound Brewery can pair any of their craft beers with any of their signature burgers.

RELAX BEFORE THE MAIN EVENT: Ellicottville is lucky to have a number of spas and salons, so all you ladies can book your pamper party before your big night out. Ellicottville Oasis Spa, located inside the Tamarack Club at Holiday Valley, is a girlfriends paradise with manis/pedis, massages, facials and a great view of the ski slopes. Ellicottville Salt Cave offers - you guessed it - a Himalayan salt cave, lemongrass foot scrubs, infrared sauna and other unique treatments.

THE MAIN EVENT: With 17+ bands scheduled to perform over a 3-day period, you’ll want to pick out the most comfortable pair of dancing shoes in your closet. (Maybe even have a second pair on standby.) Alexander James hits 12 Gates Brewing Friday night. The Chillbillies take stage at Balloons on Saturday, and Ellicottville’s beloved Tui Osborne hits Villaggio for Sunday’s Pasta Bar. Tommy Z, Danny Minogue, Geno McManus, Gabe Stillman, Rockabilly Steve and the BR 3… any of these names ring a bell? Find the full lineup of Winter Blues performances at ellicottvilleny.com.

STAY: Don’t settle for just one round of excitement. Book a hotel, condo, rental property, B&B… whatever floats your boat! Walk to EVERYTHING from the Wingate. Find peace and quiet at Saison’s Inn. Pick out the perfect vacation home through Holiday Valley Rental Management or ERA Team VP Vacation Rentals. Just book it and take advantage of the entire weekend! We can’t wait to celebrate the Blues with you!

More shopping, more dining, more pampering, more music, more fun! Find more options and links for all of the above at ellicottvilleny.com or call 800-349-9099.
