A Banquet with Bourbon at Dina’s
Dinner and drinks - it’s a staple for dates, family outings, work gatherings, etc. You name the occasion, food and drink are almost always the go-to for time spent together. And there is nothing better than having an amazing meal paired with a few fine beverages. On that note, E-Ville Spirits & Wines decided to team up with Dina’s Restaurant to plan a Bourbon and Food Pairing event on Saturday, September 9th from 6:00-9:00pm.
We caught up with Jessica from Dina’s and Tanya from E-Ville Spirits & Wines about what guests can expect during this delicious evening out and they had some great insight to share.
“We approached Dina's as a means to hold an event for our huge Bourbon Club members and to get the word out about how well bourbon and certain foods really do pair well,“ said Tanya.
Jessica added, “We loved the idea of collaborating with E-Ville Spirits and their amazing staff. Many only know Dina’s for their food and will recall an outstanding meal they had here; most don’t know about our extensive bourbon list that we offer. You pair our bourbons with the creative culinary team at Dina’s and Dina’s at the Mont and you surely are in for one unforgettable evening.”
So what’s on the menu for Sept. 9th? “The menu for the event was thoughtfully created by chef David Seitz from Dina’s at the Mont and executive chef Ethan Zalwsky at Dina’s,” explained Jessica. “Our four-course meal will start with an appetizer - a bacon wrapped horseradish stuffed shrimp with a bourbon white BBQ sauce, followed by a grilled peach and goat cheese arugula salad dressed with olive oil and lemon vinaigrette alongside French onion bread. The main course will be baby back ribs, cubed brisket, cornbread stuffed poblano and smoked gouda mac & cheese. We’ll end with a chocolate bourbon walnut pie. Tanya, the bourbon master from E-Ville Spirits, has carefully chosen four bourbons to pair with each course. These include Angels Envy, Window Jane, Horse Soldier, and Old Forester 1910. Each one of these bourbons highlights their oaky and spicy notes.”
This all sounds so good! People in this town love to gather, eat and drink, and events like this give local businesses the opportunity to team up and support one another, while showcase to the public their products and services. “We’re excited to introduce some of our locals to our club members and other bourbon lovers,” said Tanya.
Jessica also wanted to state that the event isn’t just an average dinner and drink evening. “This event is very unique to Ellicottville and rare to come by in this region. It allows our love of food to shine and to pair it with bourbons is a win-win. We would love to offer more pairings in the future and look forward to collaborating with E-Ville Spirits again.” Tanya concurred with the idea of another pairing opportunity.
Cost for Sept. 9th’s dinner and bourbon pairing is $80 per person. The event is being held upstairs at Dina’s and space is limited, so it is recommended you call 716-699-4474 and reserve your spot before they’re all claimed!
