Sunny Olean Announces New Charging Stations
OLEAN – Sunny Olean LLC announces six new electric vehicle (EV) charging ports in downtown Olean behind Rocket Cup Coffee and the Tri-County Arts Council – accessible through the Five Star Bank parking lot on North 1st Street.
EV drivers will be able to top-up their charge while working or running errands in downtown Olean. Each of the three dual-port stations provide up to 7.6 kW per port.
With assistance from National Grid, Sunny Olean LLC has made their entire parking lot ready for EV chargers. These first three chargers will encourage EV adoption in Olean. Bamboo Strategy Group, provided consulting services for the project and Kaple Solutions installed the chargers and their electrical services.
Adam Jester, owner of Bamboo Strategy Group, shared his excitement about the project, stating, "Adding these EV chargers to the city center is a fantastic way to draw in additional tourism and broaden the fanbase of our local businesses. EV drivers make travel decisions based on the availability of charging. Projects like this are a great way to put Olean on their map, either as a stop along the way, or as their destination.”
Jeff Belt, manager of Sunny Olean LLC, said, "These chargers will enable our residential tenants to switch to EVs and charge at night. During the daytime, these chargers will attract visitors to all 14 businesses that adjoin our parking lot.”
Sunny Olean LLC and Bamboo Strategy Group invite everyone to take advantage of these new charging stations and explore all that downtown Olean has to offer.
