Classic Cars and Rock Stars
ELLICOTTVILLE - The roar of engines and a full bill of rock performances are about to collide in an electrifying fusion of vintage vibes and musical bliss. This year's Rock 'n' Roll Weekend in Ellicottville, September 13-15th, will not only showcase some of the best bands in the region but will also boast an extraordinary classic and custom car show that promises to take event-goers on a nostalgic ride into the past.
Taking place in Ellicottville’s unique 4-block downtown business district, the festival will welcome over 20 live performances indoors and out, including headlining act, The Fleetwood Mac Experience, on Saturday, Sept. 14th at 1:00pm on the Winery of Ellicottville Main Stage, Monroe Street.
While the music will undoubtedly draw in crowds all on its own, Sunday’s classic car show is perhaps the heart of the 3-day festival. This year's display promises to deliver an array of iconic automobiles that have their own stories to tell. Over 200 classic Cadillacs, vintage Mustangs, and sleek Corvettes - just to name a few - will line the village streets. Adding to the entertainment, Terry Buchwald’s Elvis Show will kick off at 1:30pm at the Village Gazebo.
“Rock N’ Roll weekend has been an annual event in our community for over two decades now,” said Barb Pump, executive assistant at the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. “It’s the perfect fall getaway that the whole family can enjoy. You can park the car and access all the activities on foot. There’s entertainment around every corner!”
Car enthusiasts and festival-goers alike will have the chance to admire these rolling masterpieces, many of which have been lovingly maintained or restored to their former glory. The car show will feature several categories and will be judged by a panel of classic car experts, adding a competitive edge to the display and encouraging car owners to bring their A-game.
Beyond the engines and the electric guitar solos, the festival is a celebration of the cultural tapestry that rock 'n' roll and classic cars represent. Families, friends, and fans of all ages will find something to enjoy - whether it be the main attractions themselves, or the abundance of unique shopping and dining surrounding it all.
