MAYVILLE – ERA Team VP Real Estate & Vacation Rentals is excited to announce the 15th Annual Agents of Hope scramble golf tournament, set for Wednesday, August 21st, at the Chautauqua Golf Club. This four-person scramble tournament will once again rally the community to support the ALS Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Since the tournament’s inception in 2010, ERA Team VP, with the incredible support of the community, has raised over $155,000 to aid in the battle against ALS. The funds generated from this tournament directly contribute to research efforts for treatments and a cure, as well as providing essential patient care and caregiver support.
ALS is a devastating disease affecting motor neurons, the nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle movement. At any given time, approximately 20,000 Americans are living with ALS, and the average life expectancy following diagnosis is just two to five years.
“The community’s support for this tournament is nothing short of remarkable,” said Bill Soffel, Broker/CEO of ERA Team VP. “Each year, we see how much this event means to local families facing ALS, and it reminds us all that they are not alone in their fight. The tournament is a wonderful blend of fun and purpose, and it often fills up quickly, so we encourage everyone to register soon to secure their spot.”
Event details include a 10:00am check-in followed by an 11:30am shotgun start. Participants will enjoy hot dogs served on the course, along with some refreshments and snacks throughout the day. The tournament will feature various competitions, games, and specialty drinks, including the ever-popular Mojito hole. After the day on the course, dinner will be served, accompanied by a basket raffle, the announcement of on-course competition winners, and a 50/50 drawing.
The cost to participate is $125 per player ($100 for Chautauqua Golf Club members), which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, and dinner. ERA Team VP is actively seeking players, sponsors, and donors to support this worthy cause. We also welcome contributions of Chinese auction baskets to enhance our fundraising efforts. Corporate, individual, and team sponsorship opportunities are available, and monetary donations and raffle items are both welcomed and greatly appreciated.
