OLEAN - It's too hot outside, time for AC and cool classes at Tri County Arts Council. Sign up for classes online at: https://www.tricountyartscouncil.org/classes/.

Kids Flower Dream Catchers: August 3, 2024 (Saturday) with new instructor, Ashleigh Sparling of Olean from 11:00am-12:00pm. Cost: $5 Members & Non-Members from ages 8-12

Join us for a creative and fun class where kids will learn how to make their very own flower dream catchers! Using ribbons and strings, children will craft beautiful dream catchers with felt flower accents. This hands-on activity encourages creativity and fine motor skills while allowing kids to create a unique piece of art to hang in their room. Come and let your imagination bloom!

Grid Drawing: August 3, 2024 (Saturday) with new instructor, Tiffany Smith of Franklinville, from 1:00-3:00pm. Cost: $30 Artisan Members & Above; $40 Basic/Family Members & Non-Members, Age: 14+. Throughout history, many famous artists have used the grid method for drawing, including the ancient Egyptians, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albrecht Durer, M.C. Escher, and Vincent Van Gogh. Learn how to use this ancient tool to draw your pet or a face you love with high accuracy. Please bring 8”x10” black and white high quality close up photocopy that can be drawn on.

Join the Tri-County Arts Council for an upcoming live music performance by acoustic guitarist Alex Cole of Allegany County on Tuesday August 6 at 6:30pm. The event will take place at 6:30pm on the first floor of the First National Bank Building, 101 N. Union St. Attendance is free and light refreshments will be provided with Art Studio tours.

The Tri-County Arts Council advocates for the creation and appreciation of arts and culture in the region and this opportunity would not have happened without the partnership of Chashama and Savarino Properties.

The Tri-County Arts Council presents “An Artistic Journey, From Watercolors to Oils and Back Again” by Barbara Fox, the show will run now through August 30th in the Peg Bothner Gallery.  TCAC is always adding to their Artisan Market and class schedule at 110 West State Street in Olean, NY 14760. We now have new Summer hours from Wednesday to Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. All Tuesday classes will still be happening, and we will be adding morning arts classes soon in September with a six-week hand building class.
