The Art of Marilyn Reynolds

Local Portville Artist Has Over 35 Pieces in the Tri-County Artisan Market

OLEAN — For years, area residents have admired Marilyn Reynolds paintings of surrounding landmarks and more that are displayed in private homes, businesses, and organizations throughout the community. Currently in the Artisan Market of the Tri County Arts Council, the well-known Portville artist has over 35 pieces to the Tri County Arts Council at 110 West State Street in Olean.

We currently have three original works of different buildings in East Aurora and several prints of the Olean High School, New Moon Café of Allegany and many more. We currently have only 3 sets of her well-known North Union Streetscape from 1955 including First National Bank, Olean House, and Kresge Co. Prints. We only have one print remaining of Alcas main building, Portville Historical and Preservation Society building, and two prints remaining of The School House at Bedford Corners.

Marilyn and her family have been staunch supporters of the arts and especially the Tri-County Arts Council. We are profoundly grateful for their support and the endless inspiration Marilyn provided with her boundless spirit. Reynolds’s watercolors are available for sale, as is, including images of nature with fruits, vegetables, and flowers. TCAC will be displaying her work as a pop-up market. Her work will be available for sale in the market and online. All pieces are available online for purchase for pick up or shipping at https://www.tricountyartscouncil.org/product-category/marilyn-reynolds/

The Tri-County Arts Council advocates for the creation and appreciation of arts and culture in the region. TCAC is always adding to their Artisan Market and class schedule at 110 West State St in Olean, NY 14760. We now have new Summer hours from Wednesday to Friday from 10 to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4pm. All Tuesday classes will still be happening, and we will be adding morning arts classes soon.
