National Library Week


ELLICOTTVILLE - Celebrated for nearly 65 years, National Library Week will take place from April 3rd-9th this year and it is the perfect time to connect with your library.  This celebration highlights the valuable role that libraries and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities.  Stop in the Ellicottville Memorial Library to pick up a kid’s Activity Booklet to fill your week with adventure and fun! With interesting things to do every day, these booklets will help you have a wonderful week of celebrating the library! You can also visit www.ellicottvillelibrary.org for more information on new arrivals of books, coming events and classes, and browse the system catalog for books, eBooks and movies.

Other activities taking place in April at the library:

Adult Chess Class - Never played chess before? Always wanted to learn? Join this two-week class that takes you from getting to know the chess pieces to playing the game. Dates for the classes are: April 20th and 27th at 6:30pm.  To participate, please sign up by contacting the library at 716-699-2842.

Crafts with Cathy - Come for a relaxing, stress free, creative break in your day every Tuesday from 2:00-3:00pm at the Ellicottville Memorial Library, located at 6499 Maples Road. Free program, all supplies provided. April’s craft is Rock Painting.
