Village Planning Board Sets Public Hearing on Updated Site Plan

A public hearing is scheduled for 5:30pm on March 8 to air plan modifications for a single-family home at 8 Fillmore Drive.

Jacob Alianello of MDA Consulting Engineers brought a request to the Village Planning Board on Tuesday, February 8th. He provided updated plans to add a shed roof over a patio at the recently constructed home of Laura and Timothy DiGiulio.

The site plan and architectural review of the 3,850 square-foot two-story residence on Lot 4, Colton Corners Subdivision, were approved in June to include an open patio. The new proposal will cover the patio with a 15x24-foot shed roof, with two skylights, and supported by pillars.

"It had to come back to you because (the proposed shed roof) is over 300 square feet in size," Alianello told the Board members. "We are just looking at a site plan modification of the shed roof, to be added to rear of house that has been built and approved."

Recent changes to the zoning law rules regarding covered porches prompted the owners to seek approval of their original plans for a roof over the patio. The Board is expected to also update its environmental determination following next month's public hearing.

The public was able to attend the meeting in person at the Ellicottville Town Hall, but was also aired via Zoom format and by phone connection to prevent the spread of Covid-19. To plan attendance at the March 8 meeting, the public is advised to check in advance for the proper format with Village officials or view the government website (www.ellicottvillegov.com) where a Zoom link and phone numbers are posted.
