July’s Message: Go With The Flow

We are being led into the month under the energy of the Cancer New Moon June 28th. The sign of Cancer is ruled by the moon, and is the most emotional of all the signs. It is a water sign, and water, esoterically, represents tears (cleansing), emotions, and spirituality. It is the sign of the mother, of nurturing, nursing, and is also a sign of the healer.
The moon represents night time, privacy, and Cancer energy loves home, being a home-body, and has a need to feel safe, particularly at home, like a nest. It’s no surprise that as the summer solstice happens, on the first day of Cancer season, it becomes time for celebrating with families, graduations, barbecues, concerts, fun and those we consider as family to get together.
We are also having a special, rare occurrence where most of the ancient ruling planets are in either their signs of rulership, or a sign they are quite at home in, so this will provide for feeling supported - a soft comforting notion that everything will work out. Cancer energy does have a hard time giving up grudges … and during this time, it really is time to let it all go. What’s the point in keeping score?
We have a super full moon peaking at 2:38pm on July 13th, so it will look huge! You might get mushy, emotional, reflective … but don’t let yourself get stuck wallowing in the past. Reflect, smile, keep the good memories and release the rest.
We are having Saturn in retrograde motion for the next few months; this is good news! It gives us time to go over our work, our plans, our foundations, as Saturn rules these things. We can actually slow down and study more, plan more, and not feel pressured to perform and do at this time. Overall we can expect some surprises out of nowhere that happen for our highest good … so if something big shifts, know that it will be replaced by something grander for you!
Try to remember the theme of going with the flow, and to give yourself permission to slow down and enjoy the moon and the beautiful planetary lineup in the early early morning hours, to count your blessings and maybe even see me for a private reading or a new offering - sound massage therapy, which vibrates the water in your body by placing singing bowls directly on the body! What a way to really release tensions and allow yourself to relax and become rejuvenated!
Cancer is the launch of the summer season, so get started, be motivated, plant, garden, swim, go to the beach, boating, anything water-related, especially with loved ones.
