Ellicottville Memorial Library Programs

The Ellicottville Memorial Library is currently open with regular hours of operation for patrons to come in and browse the shelves. (Patrons must wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing.) Appointments are suggested for computer use in order to guarantee availability due to social distancing requirements. All of the library’s other regular services, such as photocopying, fax, printing, etc. are also available.  

The following programs are now being offered to the public, using proper social distancing protocols:

  • Book Club - The Book Club meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm. The November 4th book is “Pretty Monsters” by Kelly Link. Contact Joyce Evans at 716-474-7679 for more information. New members are always welcome to join this relaxed and informal group!  

  • Adult Coloring – Come join Cathy Lacy for a relaxing, stress-free, creative break in your day! Every Tuesday from 2:00-3:00pm at the Ellicottville Library. Free program, all supplies provided. Bring out your inner child!

  • Parkinson’s Disease Support Group – meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5:00pm.  All are welcome. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 17th.

  • Knitting (& crochet) Club – The Knitting Club meets on select Mondays at the library.  The next meeting is October 26th  from 6:00-8:00pm.  Note: All abilities welcome – just bring some yarn and your needles! 

  • Digital Materials – Don’t forget that with your library card you can access over 19,400 eBooks and eAudiobooks and read or listen on any device.  If you need assistance with accessing these materials, please stop in the library.

  • WiFi – Also, the Wi-Fi at the library is always on and can be accessed from a car in the parking lot.  There is an outlet by the front and back doors if you need power to charge your devices.  

  • Position Available – The library is currently accepting applications for a part-time Library Assistant position.  If interested, please contact the library for an application or for additional details.
