Winter Art Market CANCELED Due to Spike in COVID Cases

As a precautionary measure, the Tri County Arts Council has cancelled the Winter Art Market set for this weekend, due to a spike in Covid cases in the region.  The annual event was scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14th and Sunday, Nov. 15th in the Onõhsagwë: De’ Cultural Center, 82 W. Hetzel St., Salamanca, NY.

The Seneca Iroquois National Museum, which was hosting the art market, had been closed due to Covid but was opening the museum exclusively for this event. Out of concern for the artists and visitors, the museum and the arts council have decided not to hold the event.

Native American artists who were presenting their art are Dan Hill, Jon A. Capasso, Penelope Minner, Mary Jacobs, Adrian John, Mariah Monroe, Mike Jones, Pete Jones, Jennifer D’Almonte, and Samantha Jacobs.

Other regionally respected artists exhibiting in the Winter Art Market are Elliott Hutten, Eileen Weishan, Keith McKale, Michael Weishan, and Karen A Taverna.

Many of the artists have their work on their websites or in the Tri-County Arts Council at 110 W. State St., Olean, NY.
