Photographer Dan Jordan’s Work Featured at Olean Public Library for the Month of March

OLEAN: Olean Public Library will host an exhibition of wildlife photography by local photographer Dan Jordan for the month of March 2023. Mr. Jordan is a professional photographer, living in Allegany.

Dan, often referred to as "the Eagle Whisperer", does a lot of wildlife photography, specializing in bald eagles. He has become an 'eagle expert', fielding questions from international sources.  Dan also hosts pictorial presentations on eagles and on wildlife which are filled with photos and knowledge.  He has hosted these events for middle school science class groups, birding groups, retirement homes/communities, and others.

Upwards of 50 of Jordan's favorite prints will be on display for the public to look over during regular library hours until the end of March. There will be a meet the artist reception on March 2 from 4:30 until ~ 6 PM at the library to kick off the event.  Reception will include light refreshments for attendees as well as a chance to discuss the works with the photographer. All images are for sale but cannot be purchased at the exhibition.  There will be a comments book where people can reserve images if they choose to do so.

Dan was born and raised in Western New York (Bolivar), graduated from St. Bonaventure University, and has created entrepreneurial startups locally and internationally.  He recently retired from his role as International Business Development Director of Amphenol Ceramics and now owns and manages a portrait studio in Olean, Jordan Photography and Consulting.  The consulting part of the business is training (Photography and Photoshop) and business & entrepreneurial consulting.

For more information on the exhibition, contact Alijah Fox at the Olean Public Library, 716-372-0200. For more information on Jordan’s Photography, please contact 716-790-9329.
